Draft in review. This document is being finalized with outside counsel and will be updated before launch. Questions: partnerships@bemotivant.com.

Data controller

The data controller responsible for personal information described in this policy is Motivant Group. For all privacy matters, write to partnerships@bemotivant.com.

[Counsel to confirm the registered legal entity name, mailing address, and — if applicable — the EU/UK representative for Article 27 GDPR purposes before publication.]

Scope

This policy describes how Motivant Group and its affiliates (“Motivant,” “we,” “us”) collect and use personal information in connection with this website, inquiries submitted to us, and the operation of our portfolio activities.

It applies to individuals in every jurisdiction we engage with, and incorporates the additional rights available to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California.

Information we collect

Information you provide. Your name, email, company, role, and the content of any message submitted through our partner, careers, or newsletter forms. When you apply for an open role, any additional information you choose to include in your application.

Information collected automatically. Limited technical information — IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device type, referring URL, and the pages you visit on bemotivant.com. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not track you across other sites.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not sell personal information as the term is defined under California law.

Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies on bemotivant.com. Your preference is recorded in a first-party cookie named motivant_cookie_prefs and persists for 365 days; you can change it any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

  • Essential cookies. Required for the site to function — for example, to remember your cookie preference itself, to protect forms from abuse, and to run the CMS when an authorized editor is signed in. These cookies cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies (optional). Only loaded after you opt in. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider to understand which stories resonate; no third-party advertising networks are loaded on this site.

[Counsel to confirm the final analytics vendor (expected: Vercel Analytics or Plausible), list any sub-processors, and add their privacy-policy links here before publication.]

How we use information

We use the information described above to respond to inquiries, evaluate potential partnerships and hires, operate and secure the website, and communicate about our portfolio activities when you have opted in to hear from us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except (i) with service providers acting on our instructions to operate our infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring); (ii) where required by law or legal process; or (iii) to pursue an introduction you have specifically requested.

International transfers

Motivant is headquartered in the United States. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and in any jurisdiction where our service providers operate.

Where required, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent UK safeguards to protect personal information during cross-border transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict our processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern directly.

If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) to know what personal information we hold about you, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of any “sale” or “share” of personal information (we do neither), and to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any). You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at partnerships@bemotivant.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting.

Retention

We retain information for as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected, and for the period required by tax, regulatory, or legal obligations that apply to our business. Inquiry correspondence is typically retained for up to 24 months; job application records for up to 12 months unless you ask us to keep your materials on file longer.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a material breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be summarized at the top of this page for a reasonable period after they take effect.
